Salvador Alonzo Sr.



Age 64; passed away peacefully on September 12th, 2017 at home in Irving Texas. He was born on April 25, 1953 in West Dallas Texas to Tito and Francisca (Banda) Alonzo. He was a 1971 graduate of Thomas More Prep-Marian in Hays Kansas. He attended El Centro College in Dallas and studied in foreign languages.



He married the love of his life, Gloria on April 23, 1977 in Dallas Texas. He retired with O'Neal Steal in a span of 34 years. He enjoyed playing and watching sports. Especially...

Age 64; passed away peacefully on September 12th, 2017 at home in Irving Texas. He was born on April 25, 1953 in West Dallas Texas to Tito and Francisca (Banda) Alonzo. He was a 1971 graduate of Thomas More Prep-Marian in Hays Kansas. He attended El Centro College in Dallas and studied in foreign languages.



He married the love of his life, Gloria on April 23, 1977 in Dallas Texas. He retired with O'Neal Steal in a span of 34 years. He enjoyed playing and watching sports. Especially basketball and softball. He was a huge fan and loved to watch his Dallas Cowboys and Texas Ranger players do their thing. Some of his favorite times out and about were to watch his grandchildren play sports and having fun with friends and family. Sal was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend that made a lot of people smile and that's all he ever wanted.



Salvador Alonzo Sr. is survived by his wife, Gloria (Munoz) Alonzo; son, Salvador Alonzo Jr; daughters, Patricia and Jennifer Alonzo; daughter in-law, Erika (Ferrusca) Alonzo; son in-law, Ray Aguirre; grandchildren, Lillien Alonzo; Jocelyn Alonzo; Salvador Alonzo III; Emery Alonzo; Ray Aguirre Jr; Ellie Aguirre; Ronaldo Aguirre; Nicole Alonzo and Elijah Simpson. Brothers Alex Alonzo; Phillip Alonzo Sr. Louis Alonzo Sr. Sisters; Teresa Rodriguez (Alonzo) and Mary Marroquin (Alonzo). Cousin Cecilia Munoz. Salvador was preceded in death by parents Tito Alonzo and Maria Paula Francisca (Banda) Alonzo. He had many other loving and caring nieces, nephews and relatives.



Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church at 10:00am with Deacon Pete Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow at Rolling Oaks Memorial Center, Coppell TX. Serving as pallbearers will be Salvador Jr; Louis Jr; Tony; Pete; Ray Sr; Phillip; Sean; Ray Jr; Elijah and Salvador III.
